Hole 3: Red Brick

After arriving in Jamestown, founder Anton Klaus opened a brick factory in 1882, using the prairie's rich clay to help build a growing frontier town. Many of Jamestown's earliest homes, businesses, and landmarks (including the historic 1883 courthouse) owe their beginnings to the bricks and vision of one determined pioneer. Founded in 1872 along the James River, Jamestown has grown from a prairie railroad town into a community where history, adventure, and hospitality meet.
