Hole 2: Bison

Long before Jamestown was founded, massive bison herds roamed these prairies. Native American tribes used nearly every part of the animal, from hides for tipis to bones for tools and meat for nourishment. The bison sustained life on the plains and remains a lasting symbol of North Dakota's heritage.
